What we collect

When you book, pay, or message us:

• Your name, phone number, and email address
• Details about your booking — dates, group size, what you asked for
• The content of texts and emails you send us
• Your signed Participant Waiver

We never see your card number. Payments run through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and we only receive confirmation that the payment went through, plus the last four digits.

When you visit the site, we also receive standard web data through our analytics and advertising tools: pages viewed, how you reached us, approximate location based on IP address, and device type.

Why we collect it

• To schedule your session and reach you about it
• To take payment and keep records of it
• To meet safety and licensing requirements as a U.S. Coast Guard licensed operation
• To keep our books and file taxes
• To measure whether our advertising works

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information and we don't rent it to anyone. We do use outside services to run the business, and they receive only what they need:

Health information

We do not collect health information through this website. If a medical question ever comes up before a session — an injury, a condition that affects swimming — please tell the captain in person or by text. That stays between you and the captain.

Cookies and advertising

Our site uses cookies for basic function, site statistics, and advertising measurement through Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising in your Google account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you from booking.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. Minors are welcome on the boat with a parent or legal guardian present, and their waiver is signed by that adult.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and insurance purposes — generally several years. Waivers are kept for as long as our insurance and state law require. Everything else we keep only while it's useful for serving you.

Your choices

Email or text us and we'll help with any of these:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct something that's wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to stop sending you messages about upcoming seasons

We'll respond within 45 days. Before we act on a request, we'll take reasonable steps to confirm it's really you. Some records we can't delete on request — payment records and signed waivers have to be kept for legal, tax, and insurance reasons.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we limit who can reach it. No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, and we can't promise otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as Washington law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date below. Please check back from time to time.
